That's how I ended up in design systems. Not because I stopped caring about how things look, but because I wanted to work at the level where decisions about how things look get made once and applied everywhere.
For the last several years I've been at Yahoo Finance, where I built Neo, the design system that underpins the product across web, iOS, and Android. Before that I worked with Dropbox, Good Eggs, Google, and others. The through line across all of it is the same: helping teams move faster without losing coherence.
I'm a Principal IC. I don't manage people. I lead through craft, through documentation, through making it easier for the people around me to do their best work.
Outside of work I'm a dad, I run, and in the summer I make Neapolitan pizza in my outdoor oven and think about token architecture.
